Carolyn A. McIntyre, H.BKin., MSc. PT., PgCPain, Canine Rehab Diploma (C), is the founder of MCR (McIntyre Canine Rehabilitation), an international rehabilitation company with a passion for injury prevention and conditioning. She is uniquely qualified with a Master of Science in Physiotherapy and advanced training in Canine Rehabilitation through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Carolyn is dedicated to educating sport dog handlers and pet owners across the globe in preventative strategies toward maximizing movement patterns, quality of life, and sport performance. As a former university varsity hockey player and a professional women’s hockey referee competing at the national level, Carolyn recognizes the importance of functional, targeted exercises in combination with a preventive perspective to not only improve one’s performance (in any activity they participate in – hiking, running, sports, etc.) but in their overall health and longevity. In her spare time, Carolyn actively participates in four canine sports – agility, conformation, rally, and obedience – with her three dogs – Jack, Quinn, and Fifty. On weekends she can be found attending dog trials (both competing and working) or camping in her new RV trailer.
